What is RSS?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication, and provides an easy way to receive news updates from websites you subscribe to. In other words, it's a way to subscribe to websites, and sections of a website. PARCE Musik offers RSS feeds throughout multiple sections, e.g. genres, subgenres, frontpage, upcoming news, and many other sections such the frontpage's outsource, music videos and interviews section. Below you'll find links to the XML for major feeds to the site, but there are a lot more throughout the site. Just look for the RSS symbol as you navigate the site.
What do I need to get started?
To read the RSS feeds you'll need a news aggregator also called an RSS reader, which will check all of your favorite weblogs and will inform you if new content has arrived. Apple users can use Safari RSS or other applications like NetNewsWire, NewsFire, NewsMacPro and PulpFiction.
Windows users can use FeedDemon, NewsGator, RSS Bandit, SharpReader and FeedReader. Bloglines is an online service that works in most browsers, so you eliminate the need for downloading an application. If you use Firefox you can download an extension called Sage so that you can read the news in your browser.
Linux users can use Liferea or Blam!
